Bryan got the “Senior Experience” Session which is my most popular photo session. We spent a couple hours together which allowed us to shoot at several cool locations here in Asheville.  We went to the neatest Volkswagon service repair shop. There were several old buses and vans and the owners were cool about us walking around and taking pictures. Next stop was 50′s Diner – it’s exterior was all chrome and mirrors. Last stop…..what senior session wouldn’t be complete without some urban shots in Downtown Asheville?

This session package is great because every senior has multiple sides to his personality. A person is not always serious or silly or macho. When we’re able to spend a couple hours together there’s plenty of time to change outfits and bring out a different side to your personality. I love how we were able to see so many different aspects of Bryan during his photo shoot.

For her photo shoot, we didn’t have to venture far. She has the most amazing property so we choose to wander around her family’s land and found some awesome spots. Taylor told me that she liked vintage things so I brought a few vintage props for fun. And when I saw her black and white dress I immediately thought of a high tea setting on the road leading up her mountain. I love these photos so much! Hope you will too.

When she’s not playing VB, you might find Taylor out running, volunteering with her Junior Civitans group or at her new job at the mall.

I have found some amazing high school  juniors to work with this year. They seem outgoing, enthusiastic and very personable. Some students participate in the Model Rep program because they are interested in modeling. They will learn a bit about posing, fashion and be able to list this as a modeling job. Others join the Rep program because they want to get fantastic senior portraits for little or NO money.

This is going to be a great year. I’m quite passionate about giving my Reps an amazing experience. I’ve been scouting the area and have found so many interesting places for photo shoots. I was driving through the country roads this weekend and came across the most interesting building covered with found objects and colorful paint. I’ll be posting about that visit later this week.

You don’t have to be a rock super star or look like a glamor model to be one of a senior reps. I choose models based on motivation and your willingness to promote my business.  I am planning an amazing Senior Rep program this year that you do not want to miss out on! We hiked our family property in Madison County. It was a gorgeous day in the low 60s and the blue skies and puffy white clouds looked great in my photos.

There are several very old abandoned buildings on the property. The previous owners left a lot of their personal belongings so the kids had a field day digging through the junk. When the kids weren’t looking for buried treasures they were using  their machetes and sticks to cut down the tall weeds to clear our path.

I had my camera, of course, and took lots candids throughout the day. I did manage to get everyone to stop for a few moments to take a few posed shots.

Anna is so photogenic! I could tell that she felt quite comfortable of the camera. I barely had to give her any direction at all. She is one of my student reps. What this means is that I am giving her a FREE session (The Senior Experience) and she will then show her friends the images and tell them about her (hopefully ) fun time she had with me on our shoot.

I’m still looking for a male Rep from ACA as well as other High Schools in Bucombe, Henderson and Haywood counties. If you’re interested read more about the program here.
