Case study: custom web design client

ABOUT

WEDDING

Originally exclusively a family photographer, Taylor had branched out into wedding photography and wanted a new website that combined marketing both wedding and family photography while still finding a way to separate herself from the masses.

The problem:

From the excitement of a couple’s engagement all the way through to the birth and growth of their children, Taylor Miller captures all their photographic, poignant love stories and milestones.

The solution:

By focusing on “what makes you different”, we were able to create a website full of customizations which emphasized the advantages and value in choosing Taylor Miller Photography over the competition.

Niching doesn’t mean pigeon holing. Instead, you pinpoint your ideal audience and present yourself accordingly.

Taylor has identified her optimal client as an upper middle class, professional woman who is planning her wedding with help of a wedding planner at a high end, local venue.

Now, rather than trying to attract the masses by focusing on everything from weddings, to newborns, to family and beyond, Taylor knows she needs to highlight photographing the early stages of a relationship on her website.

While her marketing emphasizes engagement and wedding photography, it also presents a slight nod towards the future. She develops a relationship with her targeted client, assuring them they will receive customized, treasured photographs starting at their wedding and continuing through all the special moments in their lives.

By focusing on her client at the beginning of their photographic journey, she will be able to capture her audience early on and already have a leg up on the competition as their family grows.

Rather than trying to appeal to the masses, she instead has a website focused on attracting her preferred client. This makes it easier to build a successful relationship that will grow and be profitable now and in the years to come.
